20.05.2013 Skydive the Beach Melbourne turns 2!
On 21 May 2011, we opened our plane doors and sent our first customers skydiving over Melbourne City in to St Kilda. We've come a long way since the days of operating on weekends only with a Cessna 182, carrying 2 customers per load. We are now open 7 days a week and have just purchased a new plane that can take up to 8 customers per load. 02.05.2013 Skydive the Beach Melbourne spreads their new wings
Following on from a successful summer, Skydive the Beach Melbourne has invested in a new aircraft – a PAC P-750 XSTOL. This new aircraft brings many benefits to the local tourism market, customers, the environment and the local community.
The P-750 achieves a sufficient reduction in noise and its carbon footprint by utilising modern turbine technology and a single propeller spinning at much slower speeds than the previous aircraft. In fact, the efficiency of the new aircraft decreases Skydive the Beach Melbourne’s carbon footprint by more than 200%, something that the company is very proud of.
The P-750 has the ability to undertake extremely short take-offs and landings along with faster lifts, resulting in quicker flight times. It can accommodate more passengers than the company's previous aircraft meaning Skydive the Beach Melbourne can bring the exhilarating experience of skydiving to more people in a much shorter period of time!

22.05.2012 New Age Restrictions
Some good news for kids out there! The Australian Parachute Federation has recently made some changes to the age restrictions surrounding tandem skydiving. The minimum age for tandem skydives, with permission from a parent or legal guardian, has now been reduced from 14 years of age to 12 years of age. Just remember there are still some restrictions so check them out before you book in!

21.05.11 First Jumps landed in St Kilda this morning!! There were brilliant sights to be had over Melbourne city and our crew were super pumped to land our first tandems at Moran Reserve, St Kilda. Check out all of the pics from the day in our Photo Gallery!

23.12.10 Skydive the Beach Melbourne to open early January 2011. Skydive the Beach Sydney is expanding operations and setting up shop in fabulous St Kilda, Melbourne Victoria. We are all very excited with the prospect of jumping over the beautiful bay of Melbourne and Port Phillip, taking in the impressive skyline of Australia’s most cosmopolitan city.
